James Alpha

James Alpha, a native of Allentown, PA, graduated from William Allen High School in 1987 and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps later that year. During his distinguished 20-year career, he served in multiple leadership roles, including Crew Chief on CH-53E helicopters, Drill Instructor, and Maintenance Control Coordinator. He deployed in support of Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm and served with Marine Expeditionary Units in Okinawa and aboard the USS Tarawa.
Promoted to Gunnery Sergeant, Mr. Alpha was later assigned as an Assistant Marine Officer Instructor at the University of Pennsylvania, where he mentored future Marine and Navy officers. He also served as an instructor at Officer Candidate School (OCS) and Mountain Warfare School. He retired from the Marine Corps in 2007.
Following his military career, Mr. Alpha transitioned into a leadership role in mechanical contracting, implementing Six Sigma techniques to enhance productivity. He also dedicated years to serving his community as an EMT/firefighter in Allentown, PA, while earning a BA from American Military University and an MBA from Delaware Valley University. He retired from firefighting in 2023 and resides in Quakertown, PA, with his wife of 25 years and one of their four children.
