Coach Matt Carter

Matt Carter was raised in Waco, Texas, and served over 23 years on active duty in the United States Marine Corps, retiring at the rank of Chief Warrant Officer-4 as a Personnel Officer.
Following his retirement, Matt continued his commitment to service as a Marine Corps JROTC Instructor, a role he has held for the past 13 years in Pflugerville, Texas, where he focuses on
leadership development and mentorship of young leaders.

Matt holds a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Chapman University and a Master’s degree in Leadership and Change from St. Edward’s University. He is deeply passionate
about leadership education and servant leadership. As a Veterans Assistance Coach with Just4Veterans, Matt takes pride in helping fellow veterans understand and navigate the VA
claims process so they can receive the benefits and ratings they have earned.

Matt resides in La Vernia, Texas, and has been married for 34 years. He and his wife have three grown children and seven grandchildren. Their youngest son is currently serving in the United States Air Force.
