Coach Myra De Ala

Myra De Ala served honorably in the United States Navy from 2002 to 2010, bringing with her the discipline, resilience, and mission-focused mindset developed during her time aboard two distinguished naval vessels. She served on the USS Tarawa (LHA-1), the lead ship of its class and one of the Navy’s early amphibious assault ships designed to support Marine expeditionary operations with helicopters, landing craft, and more than 2,000 embarked Marines. She later served aboard the USS Nimitz (CVN-68), one of the world’s largest nuclear-powered aircraft carriers, spanning over 1,000 feet and supporting approximately 5,000 personnel along with a full air wing capable of global power projection.

Following her military service, Myra earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, deepening her understanding of human behavior, motivation, and the unique challenges veterans often face. Her professional experience spans multiple industries, including healthcare, commercial real estate, executive leadership, construction management, and insurance—roles that required precision, accountability, and strong attention to detail.

Today, Myra brings this diverse experience together in her role as a Veteran Coach, where she remains committed to serving fellow veterans and their families. Her mission focuses on providing comprehensive disability benefits education, ensuring veterans feel informed, supported, and confident as they navigate the VA claims process.
