Richard “RJ” Kagawa Jr. is originally from Hilo, Hawaii. He joined the United States Marine Corps in July of 1999 and retired in April of 2020 after 20+ years of faithful service; he retired at the rank of Master Sergeant. RJ is 100% P&T, which he was awarded upon his retirement. RJ spent nearly 75% of his career in the recruiting field searching for the next generation of warriors to continue the legacy of making future Marines and winning America’s battles. During his time in service, RJ has developed many service-connected conditions that were caused by or aggravated during his active service. Many of those conditions continue to affect him today and will not improve over time.
