Just 4 Veterans Enterprise, LLC (“Just 4 Veterans,” “the Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) cares deeply about the privacy of its visitors and users. This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes how the Company collects, uses, shares, and protects your Personal Information (“PI” or “personal data”), as well as an explanation of the data rights you may have in that PI.

This Privacy Policy applies to all website users, including unregistered visitors, registered users, and premium users, if any (collectively, “Users,” “you,” or “your”), and to all Just 4 Veterans services, including our websites (including www.just4veterans.com and any of its subdomains, the “Website”), web applications, if any (“J4V Apps”), mobile applications (“Mobile Apps”), and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

This Privacy Policy is not intended to override the terms of any contract you have with us, nor any rights you may have under applicable data privacy laws. This Privacy Policy applies in addition to the terms and conditions of our Services.

Prior to accessing or using our Services, please read this policy and make sure you fully understand our practices in relation to your personal data. If you read and fully understand this Privacy Policy, and remain opposed to our practices, you must immediately leave and discontinue all use of any of our Services.

Our Services are intended solely for veterans of the United States and other individuals located in the United States. We do not offer our Services to, or knowingly collect personal data from, individuals located in the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom.

1. Purpose

The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform Users of the following:

The personal data we collect;
How we use the personal data we collect;
Who has access to the personal data we collect;
The rights of Users; and
Our cookie policy.

2. Consent

By using our Services, you agree that you consent to:

The conditions set out in this Privacy Policy; and
The collection, use, and retention of the data described in this Privacy Policy.

Where we collect or use sensitive personal information (as described below), we will obtain your consent separately and specifically for that purpose, and you may withdraw that consent at any time by contacting our Privacy Officer.

3. Personal Data We Collect

We only collect data that helps us achieve the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy and data that we use to carry out the services you request the Company perform through a customer service agreement. We will not collect additional data beyond the data described below without notifying you first.

3.1 Data You Provide to Us

When you register for, request, or use our Services, or otherwise interact with us, you may provide us with the following categories of personal data:

Identifiers, such as your name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, date of birth, and Social Security number;
Military and veteran service information, such as branch and dates of service, discharge status, VA benefit information, and related records provided in connection with the Services;
Financial information, such as payment details and benefits-related financial information provided in connection with the Services;
Health and medical information that you or your authorized representative provide in connection with the specific services you request; and
Any other information you choose to provide to us, including through customer-service communications.

3.2 Data Collected Automatically

When you visit and use our Services, we may automatically collect and store the following information:

Internet Protocol (IP) address;
General location information (derived from your IP address); and
Hardware and software details, such as device type, browser type, and operating system.

4. Sensitive Personal Information

Certain information we collect including your Social Security number, health and medical information, financial information, and information about your military service—may be considered “sensitive personal information” under various U.S. state privacy laws. We collect and use sensitive personal information only as reasonably necessary to provide the Services you request, to comply with our legal obligations, or with your consent.

Although Just 4 Veterans is not a “covered entity” or “business associate” under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (“HIPAA”), we voluntarily apply safeguards consistent with HIPAA’s standards as a matter of best practice when handling health and medical information. All health and medical information is stored within the United States and is shared only as described in Section 6 below.

5. How We Use Personal Data

Data collected through our Services will only be used for the purposes specified in this Privacy Policy or indicated on the relevant pages of our Services. We will not use your data beyond what we disclose in this Privacy Policy. Specifically, we use personal data for the following purposes:

To provide, operate, maintain, and secure the Services and to perform the basic functions of the Website;
To create and manage your account and to carry out the services you request under your customer service agreement;
To communicate with you, including responding to your inquiries and providing customer support;
To process payments and administer financial transactions related to the Services;
To personalize and improve the Services;
To detect, prevent, and address fraud, security issues, and technical problems;
To comply with applicable legal obligations; and
With your consent, to share relevant information with licensed medical providers in connection with the Services.

6. Who We Share Personal Data With

6.1 Personnel

We may disclose your personal data to members of our organization who reasonably need access to it to achieve the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. Our personnel are bound by confidentiality obligations.

6.2 Service Providers

We may share personal data with third-party service providers who perform functions on our behalf, such as payment processing, hosting, and technical support. These service providers are permitted to use your personal data only to perform services for us and are contractually required to protect your personal data consistent with this Privacy Policy.

6.3 Third-Party Medical Providers

With your consent and in connection with the services you have requested, we may share relevant information with licensed medical providers. All such providers are located in the United States, and any medical or health information is stored and shared only within the United States.

6.4 We Do Not Sell or Share Your Personal Information

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share your personal data for cross-context behavioral (targeted) advertising, as those terms are defined under applicable U.S. state privacy laws. We do not disclose your personal data to third parties except as described in this Privacy Policy.

6.5 Other Disclosures

We will not sell or share your data with other third parties, except in the following cases:

If the law requires it;
If it is required for any legal proceeding;
To prove or protect our legal rights;
To buyers or potential buyers of this Company in the event that we seek to sell the Company; and
To health care professionals, at your discretion and upon your consent, in conjunction with providing certain services as agreed upon in your customer service agreement.

If you follow hyperlinks from our Services to another website, please note that we are not responsible for and have no control over the privacy policies and practices of those websites.

6.6 Categories of Third Parties (Prior 12 Months)

In the preceding twelve (12) months, we have disclosed personal data only to the following categories of recipients, and only for the purposes described in this Section 6:

Service providers—such as payment processors, hosting providers, and technical-support providers—to operate, secure, and support the Services;
Licensed medical providers located in the United States—with your consent, to provide the services you requested; and
Professional advisors and government authorities—where required by law or legal process, or to establish, exercise, or defend our legal rights.

We have not sold or shared personal data with any third party for monetary or other valuable consideration or for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7. Where Your Personal Data Is Stored and Accessed

All personal data we collect is stored on servers located in the United States. We do not store, host, or maintain your personal data outside the United States.

Certain members of our support team are located outside the United States—in the Philippines, and on United States military installations in Germany, Italy, and Japan—and access our U.S.-based systems remotely to perform limited customer-support functions. This remote access does not involve storing, hosting, transferring, or maintaining your personal data outside the United States. Your personal data remains housed on our U.S. servers at all times, and we do not send your personal data—or any health or medical information—to any location outside the United States. Our support personnel located outside the United States do not access your health, medical, or other sensitive personal information.

In addition, where a User is located in a U.S. state that restricts the handling of its residents’ personal data by personnel located outside the United States, we do not permit our support personnel located outside the United States to access or work on that User’s files.

We do not sell, rent, or otherwise transfer your personal data to any third party located outside the United States. Any sharing of your personal data with third parties, including medical providers, occurs only within the United States and only as described in this Privacy Policy.

8. How Long We Store Personal Data

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to provide the Services you request, to comply with our legal, accounting, or reporting obligations, and to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements. When your personal data is no longer needed for these purposes, we will delete or de-identify it in accordance with applicable law. If we determine that we must retain your data for longer than would ordinarily be expected, we will notify you.

We retain different categories of personal data for different periods:

Contact and identifier information (name, email, telephone number, mailing address, and state)—retained while you are a client and, thereafter, in our client database for ongoing and future communications, subject to your right to request deletion.
Health and medical information—retained only as long as necessary to provide the specific services you requested, and in any event securely deleted within one (1) year following closure of your case, unless a longer period is required by a legal hold or applicable law.
Financial information—retained as long as necessary to complete transactions and to meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
Automatically collected data (IP address, device, and usage information)—retained for a limited period for security and operational purposes.

9. How We Protect Your Personal Data

To help protect your information, we use industry-standard encryption in transit and store data on servers in secured facilities. Access to personal data is limited to personnel and service providers who need it to perform the functions described in this Privacy Policy, and our personnel are bound by strict confidentiality obligations. A breach of these obligations may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

While we take all reasonable precautions to ensure that user data is secure and that Users are protected, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and there always remains some risk of harm. The Internet as a whole can be insecure at times, and therefore we are unable to guarantee the security of user data beyond what is reasonably practical.

In the event of a data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify affected individuals and applicable regulators as required by relevant U.S. state and federal breach-notification laws.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence and subject to certain exceptions, you may have some or all of the following rights with respect to your personal data:

The right to know and access the personal data we have collected about you, including the categories and specific pieces of personal data, the sources of that data, the purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it;
The right to correct inaccurate personal data that we maintain about you;
The right to request deletion of your personal data;
The right to obtain a portable copy of your personal data;
The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal data and of targeted advertising (as noted above, we do not sell or share your personal data);
The right to limit the use and disclosure of your sensitive personal information to what is necessary to provide the Services;
The right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising any of your privacy rights; and
The right to appeal a denial of a privacy request, where applicable.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact our Privacy Officer using the information in Section 17 (How to Access, Modify, Delete, or Challenge the Data Collected). We will respond to your request within the time period required by applicable law—generally forty-five (45) days of receipt under the California Consumer Privacy Act, which we may extend by an additional forty-five (45) days where reasonably necessary and permitted, with notice to you. For your protection, we may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request, and you may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf where permitted by law.

11. California Privacy Rights

This section provides additional information for residents of California under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, the “CCPA”).

Notice regarding California residents: Effective January 1, 2027, Just 4 Veterans will no longer offer its Services to residents of California. Until that date, California residents retain the rights described in this section with respect to personal data we have collected.

Categories of personal data we collect. In the preceding twelve (12) months, we have collected the following categories of personal data from California residents: identifiers (including your Social Security number); financial information; military and veteran service information; health and medical information (provided by you in connection with the Services); and internet or other electronic network activity information (such as IP address and device information).

Sources, purposes, and disclosures. We collect this personal data from you directly and automatically through your use of the Services, and we use and disclose it for the business purposes described in Sections 5 and 6 of this Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Your California rights. Subject to certain exceptions, California residents have the right to know/access, to correct, to delete, and to obtain a copy of their personal data; the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data (we do not sell or share); the right to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information; and the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights. You may submit a request using the contact information in Section 17, and you may use an authorized agent to do so. We will verify your request as required by law before responding.

12. Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect or use personal data from children under 13 years of age. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 13 years of age, that personal data will be deleted as soon as possible. If a child under 13 years of age has provided us with personal data, their parent or guardian may contact our Privacy Officer. The Services that the Company provides are intended for veterans of the United States only, and there is no reason for children to visit the Company’s website.

13. Do Not Track Notice

Do Not Track (“DNT”) is a privacy preference that you can set in certain web browsers. We do not track the users of our Services over time and across third-party websites, and therefore we do not respond to browser-initiated DNT signals.

14. Cookie Policy

A cookie is a small file, stored on a user’s device by a website. Its purpose is to collect data relating to the user’s use of the Services. You can choose to be notified each time a cookie is transmitted, and you can choose to disable cookies entirely in your internet browser, although this may decrease the quality of your user experience.

We use the following types of cookies on our Services:

Functional cookies. Functional cookies are used to remember the selections you make on our Services so that your selections are saved for your next visit.

15. Mobile Data Compliance Disclosure

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the above categories exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

16. Modifications

This Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time in order to maintain compliance with the law and to reflect any changes to our data-collection process. When we amend this Privacy Policy, we will update the “Effective Date” at the top of this Privacy Policy. We recommend that our Users periodically review this Privacy Policy to ensure that they are aware of any updates. If necessary, we may notify Users by email of changes to this Privacy Policy.

17. How to Access, Modify, Delete, or Challenge the Data Collected

If you would like to know whether we have collected your personal data, how we have used it, whether we have disclosed it and to whom, or if you would like your data to be deleted or modified in any way, or to exercise any of the rights described in this Privacy Policy, please contact our Privacy Officer:
