Here at Just4Veterans LLC (“Company”, “We”, “Us”, “Our”), we take privacy and security seriously. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) is our way of sharing how we collect your information, why we need it, and how we use it.
Scope of Application
This Privacy Policy applies to your use of our website and Dropbox (together, the “Resources”), and together with the Resources, the “Service”). The Service includes website, HIPAA Compliant Dropbox Folder and referral to Veteran-friendly Health Care Professionals. If you visit another website, the privacy policy of that website will apply. Please review the privacy policy of that website to understand how they processes your information.
This Privacy Policy also applies to the information you provide to us after being presented with or directed to this Privacy Policy. This could be, for example, when you share your information with our service representatives (e.g. Veteran Coach, and/or Administrative Personnel) or send us a letter, email or text. Before submitting information to the Service, please review this Privacy Policy carefully.
Information We Collect and How We Use Your Information
There are two general categories of information we collect: (1) Information you give to us; and (2) Information we collect from third parties.
We use your information in several different ways. What we do with your information depends on when we collect it and what we collect.
Information You Give to Us
· Your name and contact details (such as your email address and phone number)
· Additional profile information (such as VA rating, rated disabilities, military branch, DD214, medical records, location, and preferred language)
· Your payment information (such as your credit/debit card number, security/CVV code, and expiration date)
How we use information you give to us
1. Registration
Why we collect it
We need your name, contact details, VA rating, and whether you are aiming for an “Initial Rating or “Increase Rating” to determine if the company service can help you. This information is necessary for the adequate performance of certain services and for Veteran Coaches to reach out to you.
2. Prepare for Strategy Session
Why we collect it
We need your military service branch, time in service and current disability rating to help our Veteran Coaches to prepare on the first meeting call, Strategy Session, with you.
3. Analyze, consolidate and prepare documents
Why we collect it
We need your Benefit Summary Letter, DD214, Ebenefits Screenshot and medical records to merge those which are of the same category, to split files according to its size and to rename the same before the referral to Independent Psychological Professionals.
4. Prepare service agreement and accept payment
Why we collect it
We use your name and contact details to fulfill our contract with you and send our resources, and we use your payment information to process payments and comply with applicable law.
HIPPA Policy
J4V adheres to all HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) federal law requirements:
- J4V, staff and its affiliates are mandated to adhere to the national standards to protect sensitive patient health information from being disclosed without consent or knowledge.
- Protects the privacy and security of individually identifiable health information.
- Protecting clients PII and PHI is a must; therefore, J4V’s critical infrastructure and key resources (CIKR) platforms are HIPPA compliant
- As per the regulation and standards for safeguarding patients’ “Protected Health Information” (PHI) and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of electronically transmitted PHI (ePHI), J4V remains consistent in instilling phased sustainment training specifically the HIPAA Privacy Rule and the HIPAA Security Rule.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect new ways that we process your information. When we post modifications to this Privacy Policy, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. The modified Privacy Policy will be effective immediately upon posting of the Service. If we make significant changes that affect your information, we will provide you notice of such changes through the website or by email, or some other means of contact. We encourage you to periodically review this page for the latest information on our privacy practices.
